STEM Games brought together students from 24 universities and faculties for a packed multi-sport event featuring 10 competitions across 5 sports – all managed through Torneo by Sofascore and published on Sofascore.
Across handball, tennis, basketball, futsal and volleyball, students competed in both men’s and women’s categories, creating a demanding sports setup that required fast coordination, clear competition structure and reliable result updates.
From 18 to 20 May, organizers used Torneo to manage schedules, results and standings across all competitions. At one point, 5 active competition editors were working in parallel, keeping the event data updated and easy to follow for participants, teams and fans.

Managing a complex student sports event
Running one competition is already a challenge. Running 10 competitions in 5 different sports over a short period requires a much higher level of organization.
For STEM Games, the sports part of the event included:
With matches being played across multiple sports and categories, organizers needed a centralized way to manage competition data and make updates available quickly.
That is where Torneo by Sofascore played a key role.

From manual coordination to live competition data
Torneo allowed STEM Games organizers to manage their competitions digitally, including schedules, match results and standings.
Instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets, separate communication channels or manual result sharing, each competition had a clear digital structure and was connected to Sofascore.
This gave every competition a dedicated place where participants and followers could check fixtures, results and standings.
For organizers, the benefit was just as important: multiple editors could work at the same time, update different competitions and keep the overall sports program under control.
